Update

I get the feeling that I should delete my last entry. However, I really have little intention of doing this. Besides the few people I've showed my blog to and the random people that stumble upon my entries, my writings here are practically anonymous.

And I love it. With Facebook, I sometimes monitor each slight thing I say so that others won't think "differently" of me although I know I really shouldn't care.

Anyway. Blog post. Yeah. I am still working on my ISEP application for France in spring 2013. I'm thrilled about actually going, but this application might possibly kill me. It requires that I find courses for each school that I'm applying to and reasons as to why I would want to take them. The ISEP website even helpfully has a guide to navigating these French websites. It's not that understanding the French is hard to me; it's that these websites have a confusing network in which course information is extremely hard to find. Sadly, I believe the guides provided are outdated, because they almost never help me find the information I need.

First world problems!

But yeah, I'm surfing the interwebs at the moment for a good fish and chips recipe. Ever since leaving Connecticut after spring break, I've been craving some golden deliciousness. If I find a good/easy recipe, maybe I'll document my cooking experiment whenever I decide to stop being uber lazy.

New Year

I can't believe I'm here already. 2012. Supposedly, this is our final year on Earth according to various doomsayers. It's a shame that I won't even be able to experience the joy of having a bachelor degree. All that time wasted in school. Blurgh!

Seriously though, this has been the best New Years celebration I've ever experienced. That's really not saying much considering the fanciest thing I've ever done for the New Year has been to munch on popcorn while watching the gigantic NYC ball drop, but this year I was a lot closer to the ball dropping action (Hehe). For the first time in my life, I went to New York City! I have pictures as proof.
First time I've ever ridden a train. I had to make my inner Tennessean known by snapping a picture as our train was approaching our platform. I thought the New Haven, CT train station (which I didn't take a picture of) was fairly impressive, but it was nothing compared to Grand Central.
Grand Central! I was awestruck by its immensity and by the amount of people walking about, but apparently it wasn't even really all that busy despite it being New Year's Eve. I'm a little sad that I didn't get a picture of the ceiling, but I'll save that for my next visit.

Outside of Grand Central. I just wanted to get a picture of the New York atmosphere--something completely foreign to me.More NYC randomness. Shortly after this, my phone died so I had to use my friend's phone to take pictures. I can show them later--whenever my laziness decides to stop haunting me.

But yeah, NYC. Fun. Being there just made me jealous of New Yorkers and the metro life, but it looks like I'll be stuck in Tennessee for a while. Bah.

I also visited Connecticut and found it pretty lovely. I have pictures of my time there too, but I must acknowledge my laziness again. Heh. Maybe I'll post them whenever I'm feeling nostalgic for New England.

Resolutions for the New Year? I never make these, but this year I'm going to put a greater effort forward in being more sociable and friendly. I realize that I often sulk and that my sulking is needless.

Happy New Year!

Hello Universe.

So, I would love to say that this is my first attempt at blogging; however, I would be lying, because I've tried several times--unsuccessfully, obviously--to start blogging. I think my main issue is keeping myself on top of making posts.

Often, I'll have an interesting th
ought or question, or so I think at the moment, and I have this great desire to explain and/or do research on what I'm thinking. So, the purpose of this blog really is almost solely to get across my own feelings, experiences and thoughts. If I also pick up a few readers along the way, however, I wouldn't mind this.

And since I don't really have anything to write at this particular moment, here's a picture of a unicorn.

Yep, a real unicorn.

Which I actually stole from this website.
